Born in 1958,Nasir completed his schooling at St.Xaviers high school, Kolhapur & graduated in commerce from Shivaji university.
Academically, he was always a topper and he bagged the national scholarship to do his masters.
Incidentally he got employed as an officer with The United Western Bank ltd. Immediately after his graduation. He passed the C.A.I.I.B examinations at first attempt. He was appointed the youngest manager from his bank where he worked for 11 years.
He resigned and started his own computer business in Kolhapur.
Computers were in its infancy when Nasir entered in to this business. His firm has a name to be recognised in this field.
NASIR joined Rotary in 1996. Member of the Rotary Club of Kolhapur Midtown, Nasir has excelled his rotary career ever since he joined. Recipient of the Best Secretary award ,he also bagged 6 District awards when he was the President of his club in 2003-04. He has bagged almost all the rotary awards instituted and has been an excellent orator and trainer.
A sought out guest at almost all sorts of rotary event, he has been the unanimous choice of the district to lead it in 2023-24. Known for his acute planning and execution, he takes over as the District Governor of RI District 3170 on 1st July 2023. We all look forward to a remarkable and a reformative year ahead.
Married happily to Ann Sakina, the couple has two highly qualified children. Daughter Arwa is an Industrial Production Designer working with JVC Kenwood, Tokyo Japan & Son, Aliasgar, a Chartered Accountant & CPA working as Associate Director with KPMG, Birmingham, UK.
